We are committed to working closely with every family to help them understand their child and family’s needs, and to achieve their goals for their child and family as a whole. We begin by listening.
Our interdisciplinary teams bring up-to-date science to evaluate the whole child, his or her strengths as well as vulnerabilities, and are guided by your child’s individual developmental needs. Once these are identified we collaborate with your family to develop a comprehensive evaluation and to design a treatment plan, if necessary.
Our comprehensive evaluations incorporate multiple facets of your child and family. Our treatment plans aim to help your child in all the areas of his or her life, and involve parents and families as partners with our mental health professionals. Our treatment recommendations may include one-on-one or group therapy, parent-centered approaches, and school advocacy.
When appropriate, our providers will discuss the possible use of medication, so families can make an informed decision. We are expert in choosing and managing medications. Many of our patients improve and thrive without medication, and for others it is a valuable part of their treatment.
We care about the whole child and his or her family. Development is a social process that happens in a social context, and our success at helping children and families starts with our commitment to partner with families as long as they need our help. We deeply believe in care that keeps in mind parents and families and strives to help families and children move toward health and well-being.
