Adenocarcinoma of the lung is a type of non-small cell lung cancer that originates in the glandular cells of the lung tissue. These cells are responsible for producing mucus and other substances. It is the most common form of lung cancer in non-smokers and tends to grow more slowly than other types of lung cancer.
