Michael Chen, MD

Michael Chen, MD, is a cardiovascular medicine specialist focusing on heart failure. He utilizes therapies, including cardiac contractility modulation and cardiac resynchronization therapy, designed to enhance the quality of life for heart failure patients and augment the heart's functionality.

Dr. Chen's research interests include improving heart function using devices such as left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), as well as developing less invasive methods for their placement and understanding their impact on other heart components. Additionally, he investigates heart failure management using treatments like hypertonic saline and drug therapies such as tofacitinib.

Dr. Chen is an assistant professor of medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
