Jacqueline Wood, MD
Biography
Jacqueline Wood, MD, is a pediatric neurologist who cares for children with critical neurological conditions, helping manage complex disorders and support recovery. She is passionate about ensuring that all aspects of a child’s health are optimized to protect and heal the brain.
“My favorite part of my job is getting to spend time with adorable patients and having the opportunity to support families through some of the most difficult events of their lives while their children are admitted to an ICU,” Dr. Wood says. “I chose pediatric neurology because I love the puzzle that neurology presents, and I wanted to work with children who are sometimes underserved by health systems.” She finds it especially rewarding “when we get to see a kid get better and go home.” Dr. Wood aims to tailor her care to each child’s unique needs.
Dr. Wood received her medical training from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, then completed a pediatric neurology residency at Johns Hopkins. She pursued a pediatric neurocritical care fellowship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. In her personal time, she enjoys cooking, playing with her dog, and tackling household projects.
