CREST syndrome, also known as limited scleroderma, is a rare autoimmune condition characterized by the tightening and hardening of the skin and connective tissues. It is an acronym that stands for calcinosis, Raynaud's phenomenon, esophageal dysfunction, sclerodactyly, and telangiectasias, which are the primary features of the syndrome.
