Thomas V. Martin, MD
Biography
Thomas Martin, MD, is a board-certified urologist who focuses on using minimally invasive surgical approaches to treat urologic cancers, urinary tract stone disease, and prostate disease. His clinical interests also focus on prostate and kidney cancer surgery, robotic surgery, urinary tract stone surgery, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Dr. Martin performed the first laparoscopic urologic procedures at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and helped establish the first robotic surgery program in Southern Connecticut. He is an associate professor of urology and currently serves as the executive vice chair and the vice chair of clinical affairs for Yale Medicine's Department of Urology.
Dr. Martin completed his medical degree at the University of Connecticut; his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital; and a fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center.
