Biography

Tanya Bilchik, MD, is a neurologist who has more than 25 years of experience caring for patients with headaches.

“We have many new medications to help us manage severe migraine,” Dr. Bilchik says. She finds her work especially rewarding “when my patients tell me they are starting to have a ‘normal life’ because their headache disability has improved so much.”

Dr. Bilchik trained at Yale and in South Africa before coming to Connecticut, where she managed her own headache practice in Hartford for more than 15 years before joining Yale Medicine. In addition to caring for patients, she has been involved in many headache medication trials, including the PREEMP Botox Chronic Migraine study and, more recently, the newer CGRP monoclonal antibody trials for migraine prevention.
