Biography
Anisha Patel, DO, is a pediatric endocrinologist who specializes in caring for children and adolescents with growth, thyroid, pituitary or pubertal concerns, along with disorders of sexual development.
Dr. Patel is dedicated to delivering care that supports both the patient and their family through the challenges of chronic endocrine conditions. "It’s really rewarding because I am able to support kids with the highest caliber of care,” she says. “At Yale Medicine, we’re making a huge difference, one child at a time."
As an associate professor of pediatrics (endocrinology) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Patel’s academic work includes research on diabetes management in children and adolescents, and ethical considerations in pediatric endocrinology. Her scholarly contributions focus on improving understanding and care for young people with diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
Dr. Patel received her medical training at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an internship and residency at University Hospital at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Patel has received national and international recognition, including travel grants from the Pediatric Endocrine Society and an award from the Pediatric Academic Society.
