Stephanie A. Massaro, MD, MPH, treats pediatric patients with leukemia and lymphoma.

One of her most memorable patients was a girl who suffered from acute megakaryoblastic leukemia, a rare form of the bone marrow cancer. “The little girl lost her brave battle, but in caring for her, I developed a strong interest in leukemia, continues to impact my clinical practice,” Dr. Massaro says.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Massaro is also a junior investigator at the Yale Stem Cell Center, and is working on several research projects related to megakaryoblastic leukemia.

Clinical Trials

New treatments for many conditions are tested in clinical trials, which ultimately bring lifesaving new drugs and devices to the patients who need them most. By participating in a clinical trial, you may get access to the most advanced treatments for your condition, and help determine their benefits for future patients.
