Biography

Edward J. Miller, MD, PhD, treats chronic heart including infiltrative cardiomyopathies. “The Yale Medicine Cardiomyopathy Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program has a wonderful interdisciplinary team of experts in the diagnosis and management of infiltrative cardiomyopathies,” says Dr. Miller, who also directs the clinical nuclear cardiology laboratory at Yale New Haven Hospital.

An expert at using imaging to diagnose and treat heart disease, Dr. Miller is especially interested in the use of new imaging techniques in cardiac sarcoidosis (an inflammatory disorder) and cardiac amyloidosis (a disorder of protein deposits). He is also focused on the role of obesity in certain types of heart disease.

Dr. Miller is an associate professor of medicine, and of radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine.
