We make sure patients are seen by appropriate subspecialists within the Department of Neurology to provide the best possible care. If a diagnosis is unclear when we initially evaluate a patient, we make internal referrals to our subspecialists to make sure we are on the right path with the right treatment.

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain’s venous sinuses. This prevents blood from draining out of the brain.
