Psychiatry
At Yale Medicine, our mission is to expand knowledge about mental health and improve care for people of all ages. Our doctors provide support for a wide range of concerns, including coping with a major life event or medical illness. Care is also available for conditions such as addiction, personality-related behavioral challenges, mood and psychotic disorders, and dementia.
Specialty programs are offered across three major partner institutions: Connecticut Mental Health Center, the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System, and Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. In collaboration with Smilow Cancer Hospital, psychiatric support is expanded for patients with cancer-related needs, including help with smoking cessation.
