Definition

Vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN) or vulvar dysplasia is a pre-cancerous condition characterized by the presence of abnormal cells in the top layer of the vulvar skin. It is a precursor to vulvar cancer and can progress to invasive cancer if left untreated. The condition is often asymptomatic but may present with itching, pain, or visible skin changes.
