Therapy/Counseling: Cross Addiction
Definition
Cross-addiction is a phenomenon in which an individual who has overcome one addiction develops a new addiction to a different substance or behavior. This can occur as the person seeks to fill the void left by the original addiction or cope with unresolved emotional or psychological issues.
