Sonohysterography
Definition
Sonohysterography, also known as saline infusion sonography, is a diagnostic procedure that involves the use of ultrasound imaging to examine the uterus and its lining. During the procedure, a sterile saline solution is injected into the uterus through a thin catheter, which expands the uterine cavity and provides a clearer view of the endometrium and any abnormalities that may be present.
