Snoring

Definition

Snoring is a common occurrence characterized by the production of loud, harsh, or hoarse sounds during sleep. It is caused by the vibration of respiratory structures, such as the soft palate and uvula, due to partial obstruction of the airway. Snoring can be a result of various factors, including nasal congestion, obesity, alcohol consumption, sleep position, or underlying medical conditions like sleep apnea.
