Definition

Oral cancer is a malignant condition characterized by the uncontrolled growth of cells in the oral cavity, including the lips, tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, hard and soft palate, sinuses, and pharynx. It can manifest in various forms such as squamous cell carcinoma, verrucous carcinoma, or minor salivary gland carcinomas and may lead to serious health complications if left untreated.
