Localized Scleroderma

Definition

Localized scleroderma, also known as morphea, is a rare autoimmune skin condition characterized by the thickening and hardening of the skin and connective tissues. It primarily affects the skin but can also involve underlying muscles, joints, and bones. Localized scleroderma is generally milder than systemic scleroderma and does not affect internal organs.
