Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes

Definition

Bone marrow failure syndromes are a group of disorders characterized by the inability of the bone marrow to produce sufficient amounts of blood cells, leading to anemia, bleeding, and increased susceptibility to infections. These syndromes can be congenital or acquired and may result from various causes, including genetic mutations, exposure to toxins, or autoimmune diseases.
