Biography

Tina Tolomeo, MSN, APRN, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in treating asthma, pneumonia, vocal cord dysfunction, and shortness of breath. She also treats newborns with a respiratory disorder called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).

“My favorite part of my job is being able to help children and their families,” Tolomeo says.

Her goal is to help patients live normal lives with well-managed chronic conditions by working with them and their parents to determine the best therapies to treat their symptoms.

“There is a lot of value in taking the time to teach children and their parents about their condition as well as how to self-monitor,” Tolomeo says.

Her research and areas of interest cover a range of areas, including inhalation therapy and devices as well as patient self-management.
