Nimrod Lavi, MD
Biography
Nimrod Lavi, MD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, or a doctor who treats abnormal heart rhythms. He has a special interest in catheter ablation of complex arrhythmia, which is a procedure done to fix problematic electrical pathways to sections of the heart that can make the heart beat irregularly.
Dr. Lavi performs all types of device implantation and catheter ablative procedures, including pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation (a-fib) and ablation of ventricular tachycardia by endocardial and epicardial approach. He also performs laser lead extraction for lead failure and device infection.
He says the best part of his job is interacting with patients and being able to improve their quality of life. “I enjoy the intellectual challenge, as well as a set of procedures that can fix a specific medical problem,” Dr. Lavi says.
