Nikime Headley
Biography
Nikime Headley is a child and adolescent mental health clinician who focuses on providing intensive support to young people and their families in their homes and communities. She cares for children and teens who are struggling with emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric challenges that affect their daily lives at home, in school, and with friends.
Headley works with patients and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, difficulty managing strong emotions, and serious behavior problems. She provides comprehensive assessments and develops treatment plans that may include individual therapy, family therapy, and close coordination with schools and other community supports. Her work in intensive in-home child and adolescent psychiatric services allows children to receive structured care while staying in their own environment.
At Yale School of Medicine, Headley serves as a lecturer in the Child Study Center, where she contributes to the education and training of future mental health professionals. In this role, she helps trainees learn practical skills for working with children, adolescents, and families who need higher levels of psychiatric support.
