Biography
Jerome Taylor, MD, specializes in general surgery with a focus on trauma, acute care, and critical care.
As a general surgeon with nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Taylor compassionately treats patients with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. He is highly regarded for his surgical success involving multiple body systems and skilled at navigating challenges in diagnosis, treatment, and care.
“I immensely enjoy caring for the critically injured and helping patients recover from unforeseen injuries and illnesses,” he says. “I work hard to ensure they and their families feel informed, respected, and adequately cared for.”
Also serving as an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital.
He further specialized with a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Northshore/LIJ Health System.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Taylor served as a battalion surgeon in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of lieutenant commander.
