Biography

Gunjan Tiyyagura, MD, specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, and has a particular interest in improving the recognition and reporting of child abuse and neglect.

As an associate professor of pediatrics (emergency medicine) and of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Tiyyagura uses family-centered interventions for household violence and proven methods to enhance child safety, including clinical decision support for frontline providers.

Dr. Tiyyagura received her medical training from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, completed her residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Columbia University, and pursued a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
