Biography

Goran Micevic, MD, PhD, is a dermatologist specializing in dermatopathology, melanoma, and onco-dermatology. He focuses on diagnosing and treating skin cancers, including melanoma, and explores chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, and psoriasis.

As an assistant professor of dermatology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Micevic studies how the immune system affects skin diseases, including melanoma (a type of skin cancer) and other inflammatory skin conditions. His research looks at how immune cells cause skin inflammation in both cancer and non-cancer cases. He also studies changes in genes and gene activity to find better ways to predict outcomes and develop new treatments for melanoma.

Dr. Micevic earned his medical and doctoral degrees from Yale School of Medicine. Following his residency in dermatology and fellowship in dermatopathology at Yale New Haven Hospital, he undertook postdoctoral research in immunobiology.
