Treating Kidney Stones with Ureteroscopy
Kidney stones form when minerals in urine crystallize. This can cause severe pain if they block the urinary tract. Ureteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a small, flexible camera to locate and break up stones with a laser. The fragments are then removed. Most patients go home the same day and return to normal activities within a few hours. Learn more about the procedure in the video above.
