Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (stomach stapling)

Vertical banded gastroplasty (VBG), also known as stomach stapling, is a surgical procedure performed to treat obesity by restricting the amount of food intake. The procedure involves creating a small pouch in the upper part of the stomach using staples and a non-adjustable band, which limits the amount of food that can be consumed and promotes a feeling of fullness.
