Squamous cell carcinoma in situ, also known as Bowen's disease, is a non-invasive form of skin cancer characterized by the presence of abnormal squamous cells confined to the outermost layer of the skin. It has the potential to progress into invasive squamous cell carcinoma if left untreated.
