Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

Definition

Shoulder impingement syndrome is a common condition characterized by pain, inflammation, and reduced range of motion in the shoulder joint. It occurs when the rotator cuff tendons or bursa become compressed between the bones of the shoulder, leading to irritation and discomfort. This condition can result from repetitive overhead movements, poor posture, muscle imbalances, or underlying medical conditions.
