Shave Biopsy

Definition

A shave biopsy is a diagnostic procedure in which a small sample of skin tissue is removed using a sharp, flat-edged instrument, such as a scalpel or razor. This technique is commonly used to evaluate skin lesions or growths, such as moles, warts, or other suspicious skin abnormalities, to determine if they are benign or malignant.
