Pyeloplasty
Definition
Pyeloplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct a blockage or narrowing at the junction of the renal pelvis and the ureter, known as ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction. This procedure involves removing the obstructed section and reattaching the healthy ends to restore normal urine flow from the kidney to the bladder.
