Low-Grade Myofibroblastic Sarcoma
Definition
Low-grade myofibroblastic sarcoma is a rare type of soft tissue tumor characterized by the presence of myofibroblastic cells, which are specialized cells involved in wound healing and tissue repair. These tumors are considered low-grade, meaning they grow slowly and are less likely to spread to other parts of the body. However, they can still be locally aggressive and may recur after surgical removal.
