A Lisfranc injury is a type of foot injury involving the displacement or fracture of one or more of the metatarsal bones and/or the tarsometatarsal joints in the midfoot region. It can result from various causes, such as direct trauma, twisting, or high-impact forces, and may lead to instability, pain, and difficulty in walking.
