Definition

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is a type of pancreatic cystic lesion characterized by the growth of mucin-producing cells within the pancreatic ducts. These neoplasms can be benign, pre-malignant, or malignant, and may lead to the development of pancreatic cancer if left untreated.
