Hyper-IgM Syndromes

Definition

Hyper-IgM syndromes are a group of rare genetic disorders characterized by a deficiency in the immune system's ability to produce certain types of antibodies, specifically immunoglobulin G (IgG) and immunoglobulin A (IgA). This results in increased susceptibility to infections, particularly in the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems.
