Gorlin syndrome, also known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome, is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the increased risk of developing various benign and malignant tumors, including multiple basal cell carcinomas, jaw cysts, and other abnormalities. The condition is caused by mutations in the PTCH1 gene.
