Flatback Syndrome

Definition

Flatback syndrome is a spinal condition characterized by the loss of the normal lumbar lordosis, resulting in an abnormally straight or flat lumbar spine. This can lead to an imbalance in the spinal alignment, causing pain, discomfort, and difficulty in maintaining an upright posture. It can be caused by degenerative disc disease, spinal fusion surgery, or other underlying spinal conditions.
