Ectropion

Definition

Ectropion is a condition in which the lower eyelid turns outward, away from the eyeball, exposing the inner surface of the eyelid. This can lead to irritation, dryness, and tearing. Ectropion can be caused by various factors, including aging, facial nerve paralysis, scarring, or congenital abnormalities.
