Cryoablation

Definition

Cryoablation is a minimally invasive medical treatment that uses extreme cold to freeze and destroy abnormal tissue, such as tumors or precancerous cells. It is performed using a cryoprobe, which is inserted through the skin and guided to the target area using imaging techniques. Once in place, the cryoprobe cools the surrounding tissue, causing cell death and tissue destruction.
