Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung condition characterized by persistent airflow limitation and respiratory symptoms due to airway and/or alveolar abnormalities. It is primarily caused by long-term exposure to harmful irritants, such as tobacco smoke, air pollution, or occupational dust and chemicals.
