Cervical Fracture (broken neck)
Definition
A cervical fracture, also known as a broken neck, is a serious injury that occurs when one or more of the seven cervical vertebrae in the neck become fractured or dislocated. This can result from various causes, such as trauma from a fall, motor vehicle accident, or sports injury. A cervical fracture can lead to spinal cord damage, paralysis, or even death if not promptly diagnosed and treated.
