Cardiac amyloidosis, also known as amyloid cardiomyopathy, is a rare condition characterized by the accumulation of abnormal protein deposits called amyloid in the heart tissue. This buildup can lead to stiffness and impaired function of the heart, resulting in heart failure and other complications.
