Benign Breast Disease

Definition

Benign breast disease is a noncancerous condition that affects the breast tissue, causing various changes in the breast's appearance and texture. It encompasses a wide range of disorders, including fibrocystic changes, fibroadenomas, and intraductal papillomas. While benign breast disease is not life-threatening, some forms may increase the risk of developing breast cancer in the future.
