Aortic Aneurysm

Definition

An aortic aneurysm is a medical condition characterized by the abnormal enlargement or bulging of the aorta, the body's main artery that carries oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body. This enlargement can weaken the aortic wall, increasing the risk of rupture that can lead to life-threatening internal bleeding.
