Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is a condition characterized by an exaggerated immune response to the fungus Aspergillus, which leads to inflammation and damage to the airways in the lungs. This can result in recurrent respiratory infections, worsening asthma, and bronchiectasis.
