Fatima Khan, MD
Biography
Fatima Khan, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and an assistant professor in the Section of Digestive Diseases at Yale University School of Medicine.
She specializes in the care of hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal issues, ranging from acute emergencies to exacerbations of chronic conditions. She also performs endoscopic procedures to help diagnose and treat these conditions.
“Having cared for a sick loved one, I know how stressful and overwhelming hospitalization can be,” she says. “My goal is to help patients and families navigate their illness by providing clear explanations, compassionate support, and guidance in making informed decisions, while delivering care based on the best available evidence.”
Dr. Khan received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her internal medicine training at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia Medical Center and a gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.
