Biography
Carlos D. Davila, MD, is an interventional cardiologist who also specializes in advanced heart failure. He cares for people with complex heart conditions and performs minimally invasive procedures, including catheter-based treatments to open blocked arteries, use of mechanical devices that help the heart pump blood, and specialized approaches to repair or replace damaged heart valves.
“I strongly believe in providing multidisciplinary, evidence-based, compassionate, and comprehensive treatment of the highest standard for all my patients,” Dr. Davila says.
As an assistant professor of medicine (cardiovascular medicine) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Davila participates in research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with severe heart disease. He has contributed to studies exploring the use of mechanical support and specialized interventional therapies for people with advanced heart failure.
Dr. Davila received his medical training from the Central University of Venezuela and completed his residency at Einstein Medical Center. He pursued fellowship training at Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
