Dr. Pisani is a board certified internist who specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She directors the fellowship programs for the section of PCCSM. As a clinician-investigator with expertise in pulmonary, critical care, sleep medicine and chronic disease epidemiology, Dr. Pisani’s research focuses on improving the care and outcomes of critically ill patients. She holds an MPH in chronic disease epidemiology and brings this training and her research focus to her role as mentor for fellows and junior faculty doing clinical and translational work in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. In addition, she has extensive experience in conducting longitudinal clinical research studies both in the critical care setting and the outpatient setting. Her current research focuses on sleep in critically ill patients and its impact on delirium and other patient centered outcomes.
