Our physicians are dedicated to providing the most up-to-date and effective care, advancing the nation's understanding of cancer, and improving diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
We provide nationally accepted treatment plans for patients who have recently been diagnosed with cancer; more individualized plans are carefully customized for patients who have not responded to prior therapies and clinical trials are often available for both situations. In one visit, you will encounter a team of physicians who will work together, combining their skills and knowledge to provide you with the highest quality of care. The result is a personal comprehensive treatment plan.
Liver Cancer Team
The Liver Cancer Team at Smilow Cancer Hospital offers an entire spectrum of therapies for liver cancer, also known as hepatobiliary carcinoma. Our team includes a group of specialists – including hepatobiliary and transplant surgeons, hepatologists, diagnostic and interventional radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists and nurses – to reach a consensus on the best treatment for you. After treatment, you receive care to manage the underlying liver disease, preserve liver function, and survey for possible recurrence of the cancer.
