- Study IRB#:1507016119
- Last Updated:10/22/2026
The study aims to clarify the underlying biological mechanisms of restless legs syndrome (RLS). We are studying the melanocortin and endorphin hormones in the cereborspinal fluid, blood and skin in patients with RLS and in healthy controls.
In this portion of the study, we are measuring levels assessing ferritin and melanocortin hormones in the skin and blood. Participation entails one 30 minute visit, completion of questionnaires, a blood draw and two small 3mm skin punch biopsies.
